Hiya, I’m AL!

I always liked taking pictures as far back as I can remember. It wasn’t until I was 16 and went to pick up my packet of pictures from the photo lab. In that pack of freshly developed photos, was a photo I took of a sunset. It was gorgeous! I couldn’t believe that I was the one who took that shot! That photo was the deciding factor, that I wanted to be a photographer.

I always loved music and played drums. My dreams of being in a successful band didn’t work out, so I decided that I was going to try and become a concert photog. I was extremely lucky one day and my great late friend, Joe, introduced me to the manager of ‘The Birch Hill Nightclub’ in north Jersey. It was one of the best rock clubs around. She asked me to shoot photos of national bands to hang up on the walls of the club and the rest was history! I went on to shoot in the big arenas for the next 10 years, shooting bands like, Disturbed, Korn, Metallica, Smashmouth, Heart, Sebastian Bach, Slaughter, Skid Row etc.

While shooting bands, I decided I wanted to branch out and take on other genres of photography, so I began shooting weddings, portraits and boudoir. I finally left concert photography and continued on and to this day, I’ve loved every single minute of photography and very grateful that photography has allowed me to experience a lot of things in life that not many people get to experience.

While I’m not shooting photos, I’m listening to music, playing drums or enjoy the great outdoors.
